Wagram invests in a broad range of industry sectors and in a wide variety of transaction types including:
- Management Buy-Out’s/In’s;
- Carve-out’s; and
- Expansion finance.
Our focus is on mid market companies. The companies we invest in have clearly identifiable market positions (not necessarily market leaders) that offer a competitive advantage. We focus on the Netherlands and to a lesser extent on France, but most of our investments already have a presence outside their home market and have the ambition to expand this further.
We work closely with management. We always encourage managers to take a substantial shareholding in their company. Obviously, a well functioning and experienced management team is preferred but not required. Wagram has often acquired companies from private owners without family succession. A company should have a degree of organizational substance with middle management in place.
Wagram generally holds a majority stake in its investments. Our investments have a long term character, with an average holding time between 5-10 years.
